Black and White Pottery Urn by Myron Sarracino

Laguna Pueblo potter Myron Sarracino is one of the few continuing the traditional art form of hand-coiled pottery. He was inspired by a work of famous hand-coil potter, Gladys Paquin. He creates thin-walled and tightly painted ceramic pieces that are adorned with imagery based on prehistoric designs. His work has won numerous awards at many art competitions, including the Gallup Ceremonials and the New Mexico State Fair. This particular work is a black and white pottery urn.
