This carved wooden Indian was carved by Frank Gallagher. His ancestors were among the first to start these hand-carved Indians in 1840. One of the original Wooden Indians are on display at the Smithsonian Institute. The Gallaghers continue the art of carving as their ancestors would want it; the old way, the right way, by hand.
